I downloaded a video that I plan on watching with a friend. We've been watching AVIs and WMVs lately on my PS3 and it seems to accept many formats. Anyway, do MKVs work on PS3 at all?

How to play MKV on PS3?
Step1. Open Convert Video/DVD
In the Movavi VideoSuite main window, choose 'Convert Video/DVD' to launch the application.

Step2. Add Video or DVD
From the program screen, click the Video button to open the MKV file you want to transfer |
Step3. Choose a format which you want to transfer
Click the Device tab and from the Output format drop-down menu, such as Play Station 3. From the Presets drop-down menu, choose one appropriate format, such as PS3 HD-720p (.wmv).

Step4. Click Convert
To save converted files choose the Output folder.
Press the Convert button.
